About me

A little bit about me and how I got into the profession. 

In 2008 I was suffering with Plantar Fasciitis, I knew nothing at all about the condition and very little about how body mechanics work. 

Following unsuccessful treatments of steroid injections to my heel, I was placed on a 12 month waiting list to see a podiatrist.

In the meantime, I was recommended a sports therapist, who specialised in Neuromuscular Activation.  From the very first session I noticed a significant shift in how I felt.  At the time, as an Engineer, I wanted to understand how this technique was so successful in treating not only my symptoms, but the cause of them, when other treatments had done so little - this need to understand developed into a passion to learn the techniques to help others, and with it, the birth of RMH Sports Massage Therapy.

I now work with athletes of all disciplines from my studio, as well as providing post event treatment at triathlons and working closely with motorbike endurance teams. 

When it comes to competing in sports, I guess you can say I'm a jack of all trades and master of none! My passion outside of work is motorbikes, when I'm not crashing them, I race them. Over the past two years I have also taken up running, having completed my first marathon (just) and several races over various distances, I think I have picked up just as many injuries as when racing bikes.
